Courage to Change

WINNER’S CIRCLE

You are what you think you are and what you believe about yourself. Your mind is the builder of the body. To change anything concerning you, change the way you THINK!  Positive thinking starts with the words we say to ourselves or about ourselves to others.  I listen to people and how negative they are about themselves, saying things they would never say to another. Over and over the self-defeating words are repeated.  Defeat is soon built into your cells, bones, blood and organs; this is how you build your body.  Use the power of your mind to change what you want in your circle of influence, which is YOU.

I love to focus on my strengths with a grateful attitude to my Creator. I know that my worst character defects can become my best assets. It is like the 5 cent buffalo nickel. Your strengths are the buffalo’s head on the coin and your defects are the opposite on the coin. The strengths and weaknesses go together.  Changing your thinking to make your strengths the focal point, you will expand the very best of you. If you focus on what are your best points, you will find your passions. This is really fun and positive to practice.

Your very first step into the Winner’s Circle is a commitment to loving yourself. That means, stop talking about you and punishing you in a negative way. Here are a few steps that will help you begin a new life:

Each day look into the mirror and deep into your eyes and say, “I love you.” If that is too difficult, say to yourself, “I am willing to learn to love myself.” Listen to how you talk about yourself throughout the day. You will be amazed how negative you are towards you. Nothing will change until you change your words concerning how you talk about you;

Take action to change the things you can. You want to learn to make choices that are good for you, not because of the effect they may have on others.  These are the three things you want to practice doing badly; perfectionism, procrastination and paralysis, because they have the worst effect upon your life. “Each indecision brings its own delays and days are lost lamenting over lost days. What you can do or think you can do, begin it. For boldness has Magic, Power, and Genius in it.” Johann Wolfgang von Goethe;

Life is built on layers of little day accomplishments. Setting goals and taking small risks will make your life better. It is okay to ask for help from your Higher Power. It only takes a slight shift in direction to begin a new life. “To improve the golden moments of opportunity that is within our reach is the great art of life.” Courage to Change

In the Game of Life it is really important to show up for the Game; keep your eye on the ball, leave behind what doesn’t work for you, find your joy and laughter that you had as a child. That child is there within you, ready to play ball.
